It's been a month since I last uploaded, and if you read my last post you'll know that that's because of exam season. My first round of Year 10 mocks are done and in a few weeks my second (and final) lot of mocks will be over. I will get back to my usual routine of two entries a week sometime in June, hang in there!
Lately, there has been a mix of bits and pieces that I can't stop wearing/listening to/watching/using from April and May, starting with the Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll On. It's like their Soothing Eye Balm, only I much prefer the Roll On purely for the metal ball applicator, which makes applying the product a treat. The cold metal instantly soothes my tired eyes, and helps to decrease puffiness. Get your hands on this if you can!
Sticking with body, I have been using the Zoella Soak Opera Bath Soak constantly! The scent of this product is so difficult to describe; the one word that comes to mind is GREEN. Just GREEN. It's very delicate and fresh and slightly floral, and lathers well which I always have to have in a shower gel. If a product doesn't lather, I don't like it.
Next is a total OBSESSION. My friend got me into this show on Netflix called Orphan Black; it is honestly so, so addictive - you have to watch it! I was hooked from the beginning, as the first episode begins with Sarah witnessing another woman committing suicide at a train station. Just as she steps in front of the train, their eyes meet and you see that the two women are completely identical. Just watch it; you won't regret it.
After watching Tori Sterling on YouTube rave about and use constantly the Graftobian Colour Correcting Palette, which is unfortunately out of my budget, I began to experiment with yellowy powders to help in concealing my under eyes. Before concealer, I have been applying a dust of yellow powder underneath my eyes. It works surprisingly well in making the purple under my eyes appear less noticeable without being cakey.
This obviously doesn't compare to the Graftobian palette, but it does an alright job for now.
The three songs I've been replaying to death are Stitches by Shawn Mendes, DD by the Weeknd (a cover of Dirty Diana by Michael Jackson) and the 50 Shades version of Beyonce's Crazy In Love, both her new version and the cover by Sofia Karlberg. I love them all a LOT.
My penultimate favourite - featured in the photographs - is my plant <3 . I felt that my room was severely lacking in greenery (my cactus candle does not count) and so the kitchen now has one less plant. My bedroom has gained a looooovely money tree (sitting in an ugly pot but hey ho) which I have popped on to my desk. Ahhhh :)
My last must have is a lip combo, an Avon lip liner in Perfect Plum underneath MUA's barely there lipstick. A lipstick I have fallen in love with recently is MAC's Velvet Teddy, and as it's fairly pricey, I have sort of come up with an alternative that is still a nude but not as brown, but on the plumier side. However it's still really pretty, and I have actually had compliments on several occasions on the combination. Hopefully I will get my hands on Velvet Teddy someday!
What have you fallen in love with recently?
❤️
Gorgeous post! I used to swear by the simple eye roll on, so I will have to pick it up again! I also just picked up the Soak Opera and agree with your description of GREEN!!

Yeah definitely go pick it up again, it's so soothing and lovely! And haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking it's GREEN ;) xx
